Evan Wills

Alexander (Alex) Brown   Evan started singing in the seventh grade in his school glee club which he continued to do through high school. His first endeavor into an r&b group came in 1977 when he was asked to join a local band called Friction headed by Mr. Anthony Love. I always had a passion for music buying lots of albums and attending lots of concerts of my favorite performers. In 1984 I joined an acapella group known as Satin Touch. Under the direction of Mr. Eddie Jones he brought out our individual talents and honed our vocal skills. this was great preparation for what was to happen later. Following the career of his favorite group Blue Magic Evan learned the words to all their songs. In December of 1988 at Sweetwaters supper club Evan substituted for the  lead singer Ted Wizard Mills. This happened again in 1997 when he performed with the Legendary Intruders. Evan also sang with the Stylistics in 1999 at Manhattan Center. Shortly after this Evan joined the group Ntimate D Tales which consisted of Richard Poindexter, Alexander Brown, and David Turner which later evolved into the Persuaders. Not being able to make a commitment at that time Evan kept busy doing karaoke. Then in late 2004  Wendell Sawyer  of Blue Magic fame hand picked me to be the 1st tenor of his new group Le Classics. It was a great experience working with one of my idols. We were the beneficiary of his 33 years in the business and taught not just how to sing but to perform with choreography. We shared the stage with many of the top acts in the business such as Black Ivory, Ray, Goodman, and Brown, Force MDS, James D Train Williams, the Manhattans,  Delfonics and G.Q. just to name a few. Evan also had a brief stint with the Delfonics Review.
